Rose #101 Pendant
A beaded pendant made with my friend Mary Foster's polymer clay rose
cabochon. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, and I finally
got this project off the back burner. Mary carefully layers slices of
hand rolled cane to create the image of two bright pinkish red roses with
detailed green leaves set against a wine colored background speckled with
rainbow gold flecks. The beadwork around the cabochon is done with
Delica beads in metallic gold, cranberry pink and fuschia. The beaded
bail will accommodate a thick chain or a cord up to 6 mm. thick. The
back is finished with faux red leather. This really has to be seen to
be appreciated.
